Frania is an experienced lawyer specialising in contractual and intellectual property disputes and data protection compliance for clients across the media, technology and creative industries.  She combines specialist industry knowledge with technical expertise in order to provide practical and strategic advice.

Frania’s dispute resolution practice spans the music, film, TV, marketing, advertising, publishing, technology and financial services sectors. She advises on contractual and corporate disputes across these industries and her IP experience includes advising rights holders, creatives and brand owners on copyright, trade mark and passing off disputes.

She regularly acts for members who have been unfairly expelled from sports or private members’ club, successfully securing readmission and compensation.

Frania has extensive court experience representing claimants and defendants in High Court and County Court litigation as well as resolving disputes via mediation and other forms of ADR.

Frania graduated from Oxford with a degree in English before converting to law and qualified as a solicitor in 2012. She is a member of the Society of Computers of Law.

Notable trials include:
  • Acting for Rina Rohilla in a claim against Royal Mid-Surrey Golf Club
  • Acting for Nick Martin in a copyright dispute over the rights in the screenplay for the film Florence Foster Jenkins (now the leading authority on joint authorship following an appeal to the Court of Appeal)
  • Defending a contractual claim for AVIC UK in the High Court
