A trainee solicitor within the Film & TV department, Thea assists financiers and producers on a broad range of matters. Her expertise includes drafting, coordinating deal documentation and providing support across the entirety of transactions.
Thea has assisted with the financing of multiple film and television productions. She works closely with financiers, production companies, and their legal partners, ensuring smooth preparation and delivery of transaction documents. Her deep interest in film and television brings an inherent enthusiasm for clients’ projects and an appreciation of challenges clients face within such a dynamic, competitive sector.
She joined the firm in 2025 having completed the firm’s Vacation Scheme. Prior to commencing her training contract, Thea developed a commercial awareness of film and television value chains through experience gained within ITV, Spun Gold TV and Fremantle. Her in-house placements enhanced her understanding of commercial issues and opportunities in the sector, and have informed Thea’s client-focused perspective.
Thea read Classics at the University of Cambridge, before earning her Master of Laws at BPP University. Alongside her studies, she regularly attended and volunteered at UK & international film festivals. Thea continues to be actively engaged with the film and television industry by regularly attending film festivals and screenings, as well as through memberships with the BFI and Women in Film & TV.
